About Us
Contactacoat is a revolutionary new way to surface your contact equipment. Engineered by Lyn Say
ers of New Zealand, and sold exclusively by Daisy Peel in the US, Contactacoat is a special rubber chip surface that is sprinkled over a special epoxy that is spread over the surface of your contact equipment. These rubber chips are colored, so there is no need to paint them, and the color lasts for years, even outdoors in the bright New Zealand sun.
Contactacoat coatings provide the ultimate non-skid surface for dogs as they travel at ever increasing speeds over the dogwalk, a-frame, and teeter. Compared to the traditional method of providing a non-skid surface (mixing sand in paint), the Contactacoat surface is velvety smooth. In wet or dry, cold or hot weather, this surface maintains its superior grip. The idea of putting a rubber surface on contacts is not a new idea. Rubberized equipment is approved by NADAC, a popular US Agility organization. These pieces of contact equipment often have rubber mats attached to them, making
them heavy and unwieldy.
Contactacoat solves this problem, providing the desired rubber surface, with superior grip, without all of the additional weight. In addition to the amazing rubber surface, Contactacoat also provides rubber slats, cut to fit standard a-frames and dogwalks. The idea of putting rubber chips on contact equipment is gaining popularity around the world. Notably, rubberized contact equipment was used at the 2006 FCI Agility World Championships, in Basel, Switzerland. In New Zealand, many of even the most conservative of clubs are using equipment rubberized with the Con
tactacoat system.
Now, Contactacoat is available in the US, and can be ordered directly to your doorstep. With easy to follow instructions included, and all of the tools you need, you can be on the cutting edge of agility technology, while providing your dog with an amazing non-slip, soft to the touch surface to run across.
